Farmers Market at the Pearl

Sundays are for Brunch & Beignets!

I personally love Sundays; usually they are days I fill my cup up with rest and relaxation to the most. Sundays prepare me for the week I have ahead and this Sunday was a great preparation for this upcoming week!

Since moving here to San Antonio I have wanted to visit the Pearl Farmers Market. The scene is rich with history and fine eateries that are already on my list of places to visit.

You should know that I live for Farmers Markets and Market Days! I love strolling through all the unique vendors and coming across one of a kind finds! It’s also a bonus that we get the chance to meet and support so many small business owners in the area.

With so many vendors to scout and look through, I wasted no time in searching for all the good stuff. Right away your welcomed by the scents of fresh coffee being poured and sweet caramels packaged just so. The Pearl also happens to contain my favorite spot for the most delectable macarons, Bakery Lorraine.

Wine, beer, coffee, fresh brisket and yummy hummus were just some of the oh so many delicious samples we tried! Just make sure to head over on an empty stomach because there is plenty to savor!

These hot and fresh beignets were from The Beignet Stand located right here in San Antonio and they even sold out!
Which does not surprise one bit!
We ordered the OG, cream cheese and chocolate.

We picked up some doggie treats for our girl Emmy; Maple Bacon breakfast snacks and Peanut Butter bones, so cute and they smell yum! Pups welcome! We were greeted by many doodles, pugs, huskies and corgis! Most were friendly although we did witness a couple of playful squabbles.

Oh and the weather this past Saturday was so nice, peeks of sun from behind a mostly cloudy day and light breezes here and there. I’m making sure to soak this up because, this is Texas, and 100 degree weather will be faster than we know it!

Brunch was served at Southerleighs, located right in the heart of the Pearl. All I have to say is wow. Nothing was short of amazing and even the kids loved it while they had the burger, chicken sandwich and good, creamy macaroni and cheese. I started with a Strawberry Frozé and had the Gulf Coast Egg Benedict. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and they offer outside seating as well so you can enjoy the fresh air while you sip away. Totally kid friendly too, that is so important with three in tow! That in itself is a hard task!

Just a wonderful way to get out and find the best selections, crafts, treasures and cuisines from near and around. With large blanket of greenery laying right in the middle, its the perfect spot to sit back and be inspired.

Next time your in the area definitely make your way down to the Pearl, beautiful sights with happenings popping up too! Oh! Right next to La Gloria’s Mexican restaurant, the river runs right through, with a pathway leading along the San Antonio Art Museum and other fun finds!
